Learning from Movies: Indiana Jones

Posted on December 20, 2010

Here are some things you can learn from the Indiana Jones movies:

  • Learn Jovitos.
  • Always get the whip before you throw the idol.
  • You can’t trust monkeys.
  • Always bring a gun to sword fights.
  • Sometimes kids are better than the entire United States Marine Corps.
  • Don’t look at it.
  • Sometimes you can knock the evil out of people with your fists.
  • Where there’s a whip, there’s a way.
  • Elephants are funny.
  • Cover your heart.
  • No matter how often people tell you not to, always check the obvious places (like under the giant X) first.
  • Never discount or underestimate your Dad.
  • Keep your tickets handy.
  • There’s no substitute for brave and loyal friends.
  • You’re going to have to face your greatest fears to win fortune and glory.
  • All good things come to an end, and then you’ve got to nuke the fridge.

Whatever your faith, have a joyous holiday season.
